Description:
This is a very nice non-smoker 40' Safari Continental (Model M-4006). This model has the side entrance door and a single slide which holds the sofa and kitchen. The Continental was Safari’s “top-of-the-line” until 2001. This particular one is in great condition. My wife and I have enjoyed many trips in it. It has a strong Cat. 330 HP. Turbo diesel engine and 7.5 kw Onan diesel generator. It does have 109,000 miles on it but don't let that keep you from reading on. Remember it's a diesel; they can go 500,000 before needing any major work. Recent Upgrades Include: 27" LCD Flat Panel TV in living area, Surround Sound, 20" Flat Screen TV in bedroom, New Rear Tires, Blistien Shocks, Front Brakes, Queen Sleeper Sofa, LazyBoy Recliner, Power Maxi Windshield Shades, Slide-out topper/cover, Windshield Cover.RV Systems include: Cold dash air, AM/FM/CD/CASS Radio, CB Radio, Tilt & telescopic steering wheel, Leather 6 Way Driver & Passenger Power Seats, Power/Heated Mirrors, Cruise Control, 6 Speed Allison auto trans, Power Steering, Exhaust Brake, Air Horn, Color/Infra-red Rear View Camera, Powered Sun Visors, Solar Panels, Hydraulic Leveling Jacks, Three Powered Ceiling Vents, Carbon Monoxide/Propane/Smoke Alarms, Two Cold Blowing Air Conditioners, Aqua Hot diesel fired hot water and furnace unit, Day/Night Blinds, Electric Step, 2000W Heart Inverter, 100 Amp Battery Charger, Four 12-volt House Batteries, Two Engine Starting Batteries, 50 Amp Shore Power Connection, Dual Pane Windows, Large Awning, Class IV Hitch, Power Locking Basement Storage, Slide-out Cover. The entertainment center includes a new 27” LCD flat panel TV, automatic satellite TV antenna, combo DVD/VHS player, & surround sound. The living room has a new sleeper sofa with built in footrests, a new lazy boy recliner, and a free standing Amish made storage cabinet. The kitchen has a lot of counter space with double sink, corian counter tops, two burner stove, microwave/convection oven, stand alone ice maker, large side by side refrigerator, and lots of solid wood cabinets. The freestanding corian table will expand to seat five comfortably for meals. The floor through out the kitchen and bath is made of real tile flooring. The bathroom has a large oval shower/tub, porcelain toilet, large corian sink & vanity, and a huge 5’ wide closet with washer/dryer prep. The bedroom has a queen size walk around bed, 20” flat screen TV, another 4’ wide closet and lots of cabinets and drawers. The interior and exterior are in great shape. This coach really does not show it’s age. We have had many compliments and people can’t believe it when we tell them it’s a 1997. Everything works and I pride myself in taking good care of my possessions. It drives and handles like new. The only thing wrong is a small amount of the gasket material between the dual pane glass on a few of the windows has moved slightly. I had the three worst windows replaced. We did not replace all of the affected windows because no one even notices it unless I point it out to them. It is only cosmetic and does not affect the window or weatherproofing. The four rear tires were new last summer and the two front tires are only three years old. New bilsten shocks were installed when I got the new tires. The brakes were checked 2000 miles ago. The rear were in good shape and I had the front pads replaced. I also had a complete inspection and preventive maintenance done 18 months ago. I would be more than happy to answer any questions and I can send pictures.Delivery is negotiable within a reasonable distance with non-refundable deposit.
