Description: AMAZING CONDITION--READY TO ROLL! The biggest problem/issue when buying a used bus is all the initial repairs you must address as soon as you take ownership of the vehicle. It can be massive, no matter how nice the bus looks at test-drive. In this situation, all that is taken care of...what you are bidding on is a completely reconditioned bus, including a re-built engine, new seals, belts, brakes, brake airlines, new AC unit, starter, upholstery, even brand new tires. It is aligned and ready to go. We bought this bus three years ago for a group of radio stations in San Diego, California and started by completely reconditioning the bus from front to back and top to bottom. Literally, almost everything you can think of was replaced, from the factory and we have all receipts and records. What we have today is an amazing bus that is in impeccable mechanical condition and ready to roll. 110K miles since re-build. THE HISTORY OF THIS BUS This MCI Coach was originally purchased brand new from the TV cable network C-SPAN, and used as their election-coverage tour bus. Google "C-SPAN bus" and you'll see pictures of the bus when they had it. Pretty cool to think that many politicians have probably been interviewed inside...who knows, maybe even Presidents! After buying the new MCI coach, C-SPAN took the bus to Creative Mobile Interiors of Grove City, OH, where they spent over $200,000 to have the bus completely customized inside and out. Really, what's inside and under the bus will blow your mind; literally, over two miles of cabling to turn this bus into a rolling TV station with capabilities to plug in anything, anywhere. Granite studio counter tops, countless equipment racks, 5 mounted TV screens, automatic doors, and more. An enormous, new Yanmar generator that can power 7 New York City blocks for a week. The guts of this bus are truly amazing. For the past three years it has been used by a group a three radio stations in San Diego, California; specifically, alternative rock 91X and countless rock stars have been interviewed inside the bus for the radio station. BUS CONFIGURATION The bus is separated into two areas. The front features a long couch that turns into a bed, it has brand new upholstery. Facing the couch are granite counter tops, multiple "racks" for audio/video equipment, and two giant flat screen TVs. The back of the bus is a "lounge;" an open area where we currently have chairs and a granite table. I've had visions of building custom beds in the back in the future. Really, the back is a blank canvas, and can be used as-is, or customized further, by making it into a media center, sleeping quarters, meeting room, whatever! In the very back is a small kitchen and bathroom. There is a 50" flat screen TV built into the outside of the bus, as well. There is an automatic canopy that extends as well, when parked. WHY I AM SELLING THE BUS A question you should always ask...why is the person selling the bus? I am a syndicated radio show host and bought this bus three years ago with the dream of taking my show on the road, to all my affiliates across America. The problem is, I work full-time for a local radio station here in San Diego, so I am unable to leave work to tour the country...the job here lasted longer than I thought, so my plans of roaming America in this bus are put on hold. In the meantime, I have leased the bus to my radio stations, who have in turn made great money by getting sponsors for the bus (Toyota, Pepsi and Sanuk have all been major sponsors of the bus.) We're making great sponsor money with the bus, however I just bought a house here in San Diego and am looking for some extra capital to pay down the mortgage (California living is not cheap!) SOME FINAL NOTES FOR SERIOUS BUYERS... I love this bus, and am not in a hurry to unload it--so I won't let it go for a ridiculous price. I'm fine with keeping it. You can make me an offer, but please be reasonable, and know that it is already priced to move. We spent over $30K in reconditioning the coach, and keep in mind, it has $200K in customized modifications. We have all paperwork (about two crates worth!) and I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. If you're looking for a media bus or a bus with a studio or non-conventional bus, this is the one for you--the work is already done! |
