We thought we liked to camp. So we started to look for a toy hauler. Most of them were not as nice on the inside as my wife would like. Most of them we looked at had jump seats, vinyl floors etc. We found a company in Elkhart, Indiana that build custom. Their website is: www.marathonhomes.com . If you go to their site, highlight the marathon unit. You can then read what is a (standard feature) of the MARATON units. Then if you go to the MARATON floor plan page, you can see the floor plans. The closest plan to mine is: 44-2 BR. We took this plan and made the rear bedroom into a 10’ garage. Most toy haulers have a solid door going out to the garage, but we had them install double French glass doors so the garage could be used as an extra room on long stays and blend in well with the rest of the living quarters. List on the unit was $58,500.We gave 55,000.00 for the unit, and I would like to get all my money back. But I am smart enough to know you can buy and drive a new car off the show room floor and drive it around the block and you can not get your money back. You are going to loose money and I know this. Now for why I am selling. We took delivery of the unit in Feb. also in Feb we came up with our first and only grandbaby. On our first outing, sitting by the campfire my wife informs me that she would much rather be home in the swimming pool playing with the grandbaby. After giving it some thought I kind of agreed with her that I would like that better also. The unit worked fine, no problem with it. But we decided that if we did not like to camp the first time out, we probably would not like it a year from now. Now this may sound corny to some it is exactly how it is. I hate to loose money like anyone but my loss can be your gain…..Thanks
