The Islander was National RV’s top of the line model with beige leather seats, walnut wood cabinets accented with brass fixtures, corian counters and ceramic /carpet flooring. It has a very desirable layout with a single 16 Foot x 32” slide for the living room / dinette that can sleep four. The queen size bedroom is fully accessible and is separated from the living area by the large shower/tub area and separate toilet compartment. This functional floor plan with the smaller, more fuel efficient 330 HP engine is unique to this year and model that combined the best of Country Coach and National RV into one of the most highly sought after diesel pushers.
This unit has been stored inside and used by non smokers. It has been professionally serviced and maintained by a large truck and RV dealer in eastern Washington State since 2002. With its custom full body painted exterior and full tinted heat reflective and UV resistant windows, it is a beautiful coach that is fully functional with all the bells and whistles of a premium 2001 Class A home.
The 2001 National Islander M-9400 has the more fuel efficient Cummins 330 HP Turbo diesel boosted with the power chip to 350 HP. It powers the smooth Allison 6 speed automatic transmission on a 102” wide by 40 foot long Country Coach Dynamax chassis. The effortless driving characteristics of the Islander is due to the low profile and superior construction of the Country Coach chassis which is enhanced by the open structural framing allowing full height storage space in the basement area with two bays running all the way thru having no framing in the way to affect the height of stored items. The air ride suspension allows for the unit to lower down when parked to facilitate an easy step into the coach. The Dynamax chassis is rated for 7,000 pounds of cargo and is able to tow up to 10,000 pounds with the Blue Ox tow hitch. The heavy duty industrial Cummins diesel ‘million mile’ engine has just 123,000 miles. The unit comes with extras engine filters, parts, spare tire and chains.
The NADA guides indicates an average resale value for this coach to be $74,765. However we need to sell it and will accept $54,000.
